FAQ

Why do some keys not respond?

Some system shortcuts (like Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Del) are intercepted by the operating system and cannot be detected by the browser. Some function keys may be disabled in certain browsers.

What does key location mean?

Key location indicates the physical position of the key on the keyboard: Standard (0) for regular keys, Left (1) for left modifier keys, Right (2) for right modifier keys, Numpad (3) for keypad area keys.

What's the difference between key and code?

key represents the character value of the key (like 'a', 'A'), affected by keyboard layout and modifiers; code represents the physical identifier of the key (like 'KeyA'), unaffected by keyboard layout, suitable for games and shortcut bindings.

How to tell if the keyboard has issues?

If the virtual keyboard doesn't highlight or the info panel doesn't show anything after pressing a key, it could be a keyboard hardware issue, connection problem, or system setting issue. Check keyboard connection or try other applications.
