What is Excel to PDF?

Excel to PDF is an online spreadsheet conversion tool that transforms Microsoft Excel files (.xlsx and .xls) and OpenDocument spreadsheets (.ods) into PDF format. PDF preserves column widths, cell styles, charts, and formula layouts exactly — it looks the same on every device, making it ideal for formal reports that need to be printed or shared.

Sending an Excel file directly means anyone can edit the numbers. Converting to PDF locks the content: financial reports for executives, quotes for clients, data summaries for archiving, attendance sheets for posting. Files are automatically deleted from the server after conversion, so your data stays private.

FAQ

What Excel formats are supported?

All three major spreadsheet formats: .xlsx (default for Excel 2007 and later), .xls (Excel 97-2003), and .ods (OpenDocument, default in LibreOffice Calc).

Will charts and formulas display correctly?

Most common chart types (bar, line, pie, etc.) and basic formulas render properly. Complex VBA macros or special plugin-generated content may not convert perfectly — preview the PDF to confirm.

How are multiple sheets handled?

All sheets in the workbook are placed in the same PDF in order, with automatic page breaks between each sheet.

Is there a file size limit?

We recommend files under 50MB. Spreadsheets with lots of data or charts may take a bit longer. Try removing unnecessary sheets before uploading if the file is large.

Is my file secure?

Yes. Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, used only for conversion, and automatically deleted from the server afterward. We never view, store, or share your file contents.
